Looking forward to a Great 2018!
2018 is nearly here and I am excited to welcome 24 students back to our classroom. Many things have changed since we began our year back on September 1st. Together we have learned lots, built new friendships, and grown in so many ways. I am excited to see how we will continue to grow and learn in 2018. On this site you will find all of the important information related to our class. On our classroom blog page, I will be posting 1 update at the end of each day. Some days this may contain pictures, on other days, this will just be a short recap of what we have accomplished throughout the day. Many parents have expressed that they would like more specifics regarding our day to day learning, and above posting on SeeSaw, this will be a great way for you to stay informed. For confidentiality, I will be posting the bulk of pictures taken on SeeSaw, and any specific reminders will be posted on SeeSaw as well. On this main page, you will find a weekly breakdown of important upcoming assessments, and and important weekly announcements from the school or the classroom. Any assessments that are listed will be completed in class, and will reflect what your child has been learning. There are 2 other main areas of this website. Under "Subjects and Homework" you can find information on all of the topics of study being learned about in school. This area will have received an overhaul before the first day back to school. It will now contain a short overview of what we are learning in each subject. Specifics will be found on our classroom blog or on SeeSaw. Finally, under "Important Documents," you will find links of all important school and classroom documents. If information is added to this page, it will be shared on the main page, to the right of this notice. In an effort to protect the environment, I will be attempting to limit the number of unnecessary notices being sent home, by posting them on here or preferably, on SeeSaw. It is important that you are connected to SeeSaw and to this website. If you have lost your QR code which allows you access to SeeSaw (if you have not yet connected) please inform me by email or by sending a note with your child within the first week back to school and I would be happy to forward the information to you. If you are unable to check technology on a frequent basis and would prefer paper notes sent home, I can try to accommodate this as well. It is my hope to keep you more informed on our daily happenings throughout the second term at Delia. I am looking forward to a great year full of learning, fun and growth! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. All the best, Ms. McDonald [email protected] |
